Will I pay the same amount of taxes as I do on my royalties?

No, royalties are taxed as additional income at your tax rate.  Minerals are treated as Real Property and taxed at the Long-term capital gains rates below:

0%-Taxable income below $44,625

15%-Taxable income between $44,626-$492,300

20% for any amount above $492,300

How fast is the closing process?

Generally, we try to close within 30 business days based on the courthouse title. If a title curative is needed, such as probate work, inheritance clarity, or proof of royalty % from lease, it can take a little longer. We work to close and fund as soon as we can get comfortable with the title and all parties involved.

How do you find potential buyers/lessees for my mineral rights?

Our team at Texoma Minerals has a vast network in the oil and gas industry, and we leverage our relationships to identify potential buyers and lessees for your mineral rights. We also use advanced technologies and data analysis to maximize exposure and reach.

What tax documents will I receive when I sell at the end of the year?

Mineral Sales are self-reported, and there is no tax documentation from the buyer.

Why do you need my check stub?

At Texoma Minerals, we aim to provide the most accurate evaluation of your acreage and the value of your minerals. To achieve this, we require your check stub from royalty payments. This document contains critical details such as the volume and price of the minerals extracted, which are essential for assessing the current market value of your royalties. By analyzing this information, we can ensure a thorough and precise understanding of your property's worth, enabling us to offer you the best possible advice and services tailored to your specific situation.

How do you help me with back pay issues?

At Texoma Minerals, we specialize in helping our clients secure any owed back pay from mineral royalties. To do this, we meticulously trace the history of conveyance documents and scrutinize any discrepancies in the transfer records to the operators. This process is thorough and time-consuming, but essential for identifying any missed payments. Your check stubs are crucial in this effort, as they provide us with the necessary details of past transactions, allowing us to ensure that you receive every dollar you are entitled to.
